Rick Hutchinson, City CarShare CEO, will discuss City CarShare’s groundbreaking AccessMobile and CommunityShare programs to improve mobility

Albuquerque, (June 3, 2013)  ––
City CarShare, the largest nonprofit carsharing organization in the country, announced today that Rick Hutchinson, CEO, will speak at the annual Community Transportation EXPO taking place in Albuquerque, New Mexico, June 2-7, 2013.  The Community Transportation EXPO will bring more than 700 people from across the nation to discuss new ideas and innovative products and services related to the transportation sector. Hutchinson is a featured panel speaker on the subject of the sharing economy for the “Transit’s Role in the Sharing Economy” panel on Thursday, June 6 at 3:15 p.m.

Hutchinson also will discuss how City CarShare’s AccessMobile program is increasing mobility for Bay Area residents by providing self-serve wheelchair accessible vehicles to members. Hutchinson plans to share AccessMobile’s best practices with other carsharing organizations from other U.S. cities and other nations. Additionally, Hutchinson will highlight City CarShare’s CommunityShare program, offering subsidized membership fees and driving costs for low-to-moderate income members at affordable housing developments.
